The Knot of Warding

Purpose: To bind away ill intent, envy, or harmful influence from others.

Alignment: White Arts leaning (protective, defensive).

Materials:

    •    A length of black thread or cord

    •    Three cloves

    •    A small pouch or sachet

Incantation:

“By knot and thread, ill will be bound,

No venom or shadow shall circle around.

Clove of warding, strong and near,

Keep my path safe, my spirit clear.”

Method:

    1.    Thread the cloves into the cord, tying three knots (one for body, one for mind, one for spirit).

    2.    Chant the incantation as you tie each knot.

    3.    Place the knotted thread into the pouch and keep it in a pocket, bag, or under your pillow.

Effect: Acts as a protective shield, preventing psychic attack, envy, or curses from latching onto you.
