The Lock of Shadows

Purpose: To prevent anyone with ill intent from even thinking of entering your home.

Ingredients:

    •    A small black string or ribbon

    •    A key (any old spare key works)

    •    Your own breath

Instructions:

    1.    Hold the key in your hand, envisioning it glowing with protective energy.

    2.    Wrap the black string tightly around the key, binding it shut.

    3.    Whisper three times over it:

“By shadow’s cloak and binding seal,

None unwanted cross this steel.

My home is safe, my will is done,

Keep away until undone.”

    4.    Place the bound key near your door, under a mat, or in a jar by the entrance.

This creates an energetic “lock” that keeps out those not welcome.
