Mirror Veil of Clarity

Purpose: To cut through illusions and reveal the truth of a situation or person.

Best Performed: During a waning moon or on a Wednesday.

Ingredients:

    •    A small hand mirror

    •    A white candle

    •    A pinch of mugwort or dried bay leaf

    •    A drop of rosemary essential oil

    •    A piece of black thread

Ritual Steps:

    1.    Dress the candle with rosemary oil and place it in front of the mirror. Light it.

    2.    Sprinkle the mugwort or bay leaf around the base of the mirror in a circle.

    3.    Hold the mirror in both hands and whisper:

“Through smoke and flame, I part the lies,

Show me the truth that hidden flies.

As this mirror holds no stain,

Let falsehoods fall like heavy rain.”

    4.    Gaze into the mirror through the candlelight. Let images, words, or emotions rise.

    5.    When finished, wrap the mirror in the black thread and place it under your pillow or near your divination tools.
