Shadow-Latch Binding

Purpose: To seal away lingering negativity or unwanted spiritual influence.

Type: Gray Arts

Ingredients & Tools:

    •    A black ribbon or cord (12 inches)

    •    A sprig of rosemary

    •    A pinch of black salt

    •    A small piece of obsidian

    •    A flameproof dish

Instructions:

    1.    Lay the ribbon before you, placing the rosemary and black salt in the center.

    2.    Speak:

“What clings without right, I bind without fight. In shadows stay, far from my light.”

    3.    Wrap the herbs and salt in the ribbon, tying three knots.

    4.    Pass the bundle three times through incense smoke or candle flame (carefully).

    5.    Bury it under a tree or in a pot of soil with the obsidian stone for lasting protection.
