The Verdant Ward

Purpose: To shield a home or personal space with protective green energy.

Tools/Ingredients:

    •    A bowl of fresh basil, rosemary, or pine needles

    •    A green candle

    •    A pinch of salt

    •    A clear glass of water

Ritual Steps:

    1.    Place the herbs in the bowl, sprinkle them lightly with salt.

    2.    Light the green candle beside the bowl, then place the water in front of it.

    3.    Hold your hands over the setup and imagine a glowing green barrier wrapping around your home.

    4.    Dip your fingers into the water and sprinkle a few drops at the entryways (doors, windows).

Incantation (spoken slowly):

“Roots of earth, shield me strong,

Wards of green where I belong.

Circle cast, let harm be stayed,

Peace within, protection laid.”

The herbs may be scattered at thresholds or buried at the corners of your property for longer protection.
