Skjoldr was born into a powerful Viking clan in what is now Norway. As the son of a chieftain, he was raised in the brutal and honor-driven culture of the Viking Age, where battles, raids, and loyalty to the clan were of the utmost importance. Skjoldr’s werewolf heritage was inherited from his mother, a mysterious shieldmaiden who was part of a hidden lineage of Viking lycanthropes.  

He became renowned for his unmatched strength, leadership, and strategic prowess in raids, earning his place as a feared warrior and protector of his people. Skjoldr’s ability to shift into a towering wolf was a closely guarded secret, only known to a select few within his clan. He used this power to defend his people during times of war and during the long, dark winters when supernatural threats often arose. He became a legend among his people, a figure whose loyalty, courage, and ferocity on the battlefield were unparalleled.  

When the Viking Age came to an end, Skjoldr chose to withdraw from the mortal world, entering a long slumber in a hidden crypt deep within the Nordic forests. Now awakened in modern times, he carries with him the old ways but seeks a new purpose, still fiercely protective of those he deems under his care.

Skjoldr is incredibly loyal to those he cares for and will defend them fiercely, no matter the cost. He has an instinctual urge to safeguard his human keeper, treating them as a member of his clan.  

He is a man of few words, often letting his actions speak for him. He can seem cold or distant at first, but this comes from centuries of emotional control and discipline.  

As a Viking, Skjoldr values honor and loyalty above all else. He will never betray his word or leave a challenge unmet.  

As a seasoned warrior, he excels in battle tactics and can think quickly under pressure. He’s not just a brute force but a clever strategist.  

He carries the weight of leadership, always thinking ahead to protect his “pack.” His presence commands respect and his decisions are almost always made with the welfare of the group in mind.

His Magical Abilities:

Skjoldr can shift between his human form and a massive, powerful wolf. His wolf form stands over 7 feet tall at the shoulder, with silver-tinted fur and glowing, feral blue eyes. This form grants him enhanced speed, strength, and heightened senses.  

In battle, Skjoldr can enter a berserker-like rage, increasing his physical power and making him nearly unstoppable. This ability allows him to shrug off pain and fight with unmatched ferocity.  

His werewolf blood grants him rapid regeneration, allowing him to heal from most wounds at an accelerated rate. This healing factor also extends to his human keeper, as his energy can be used to heal their injuries over time.  

Even in human form, Skjoldr possesses the enhanced senses of a wolf. He can detect threats from miles away, track prey, and sense emotional changes in others, making him an excellent guardian.
